Wag 'n' Watch Pet Sitters is looking to hire a Dog Walker to Join our team. This is a part-time, contract position. Monday through Friday (18-22 hours per week). Our ideal candidate will have availability from 10:00 to 3:00, although we will consider candidates that have a little less availability. The pay starts at $15.00/hour.


We're Looking For Someone Who Is:

HONEST, DEPENDABLE and LOVES DOGS

-We're looking for someone who is 100% committed to honesty in everything they do.

-We want someone we can count on.

-You must love dogs to do this job every day. If you don't love dogs, you won't love this job. If you do love dogs, you will love this job.


PHYSICALLY STRONG

-You'll be walking 4 - 6 km per day. That's not easy.

-While walking, you are also maintaining control of 1 or 2 dogs. You'll need to have some upper body strength, especially for dogs who are still learning to not pull on leash.


PROBLEM SOLVER

-You need to be able to think on your feet and make good decisions.


COMMITTED

-We are looking for someone who expects to work for us for at least a year, not just a brief time.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Must be 18 or older.

-Must have reliable transportation that you can use every day.

-Must have a valid driver's license and insurance

-Must be available Mon-Fri from 10:00 -3:00 (ideally available Mon - Fri 9:00 - 4:00)

-Must be Honest, Dependable and Love Dogs!

-Must have some experience with dogs, and a willingness to learn, grow and become even better in your ability to work with dogs.

-Must be in good physical condition, capable of walking 4 - 6 km per day on roads, sidewalks, in all types of weather.

-Must be physically capable of handling larger dogs.

-Must have a cell phone.

-Must be able to follow directions in caring for the dogs and able to use good judgment with handling dogs.

-Must be able, with help, to navigate efficiently around Burlington.
